Dr Vaheh Avanessian is a highly experienced dentist with a special interest in restorative, cosmetic and digital dentistry, bringing over 35 years of private clinical experience to the team at Lion House Dental.

A graduate of University College London (1985), Dr Avanessian went on to complete a Master’s degree in Conservative Dentistry at the internationally recognised Eastman Dental Institute, London in 1999. His postgraduate training has equipped him with in-depth expertise in managing complex restorative cases, from crowns and bridges to aesthetic veneers, inlays/onlays, and implant-based prosthetics.

He is especially passionate about CEREC CAD/CAM same-day restorations, having undertaken both basic (2009) and advanced (2010) training in this field. His ability to deliver precision-made ceramic restorations in a single visit offers patients exceptional convenience without compromising on quality.

Dr Avanessian’s clinical interests include:

• CEREC CAD/CAM digital dentistry
• Adult removable orthodontics
• Implant-based restorations
• Cosmetic procedures including enamel shell crowns, bleaching and aesthetic reconstructions
• TMJ dysfunction, occlusal analysis, and facial pain management

In addition to clinical practice, Dr Avanessian has contributed to the development of younger dentists, having served as a lecturer and vocational trainer for dental foundation trainees since 2000.

His Master’s research focused on Low Fusing Porcelain Ceramics, and he has furthered his skills through advanced courses in fixed orthodontics (Sheffield), cosmetic dentistry (New York), IV sedation, hypnosis, electrosurgery, and more.

Dr Avanessian is known for his methodical, gentle approach and meticulous attention to detail. He is committed to providing high-quality, long-lasting care in a calm and respectful environment.

Outside of dentistry, Vaheh enjoys spending time with his family.

Dr Faye Shotton is an experienced and compassionate dentist who has been providing high-quality dental care in Buckingham and the surrounding areas for over a decade. A graduate of Newcastle University with a distinction in Oral Subjects, Faye has built a long-standing reputation for her gentle approach, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to patient wellbeing.

Faye has worked across a range of mixed NHS and private practices, including roles in London, Northampton and Buckingham, where she developed a well-rounded clinical skill set. She particularly excels in caring for nervous patients and young children — a strength supported by her postgraduate Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute. Known for her calm, reassuring manner, she consistently creates a relaxed environment where patients feel understood and at ease.

Her interests lie in all aspects of general dentistry, delivering ethical, patient-centered treatment with a focus on prevention and long-term oral health. Throughout her career, Faye has been praised for building trusted relationships with patients, many of whom come to her through personal recommendation.

Outside of dentistry, Faye is a keen long-distance runner and enjoys taking on marathon challenges in her spare time.

Dr Rebecca Selvaraj is an experienced clinician who graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2016 and went on to achieve Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2017. Following her passion for root canal treatment, she has completed extensive postgraduate training and a Master’s degree in Endodontics at the University of Chester.

Rebecca is an active member of the British Endodontic Society and regularly attends advanced courses to remain at the forefront of evidence-based techniques. She is known for her calm, patient-centered approach and takes great pride in providing high-quality, predictable treatment, particularly for anxious patients.

Alongside her endodontic work, Rebecca also practices cosmetic dentistry across Central London. She is a certified Mini Smile Makeover provider and enjoys designing minimally invasive, easy-to-maintain treatment plans that give patients the natural, confident smiles they’ve always wanted.

Rebecca welcomes referrals from local dentists for all aspects of root canal treatment and is passionate about supporting colleagues. She has taught with Health Education East Midlands and continues to mentor newly qualified dentists, sharing her expertise with the next generation.
