Meet Dr. Harbinder Singh Dewgun – an extraordinary dentist whose dedication to excellence sets him apart. As the proud recipient of the ‘Best Young Dentist Award’ at the prestigious Houses of Parliament in 2019, Dr. Dewgun’s commitment to his craft is truly exceptional.

With a foundation in Dentistry from Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry, along with a Biomedical Sciences BSc Hons from Brunel University, Dr. Dewgun’s educational journey has been marked by rigor and expertise. His pursuit of knowledge didn’t stop there; he delved into Implant Dentistry, mastering complex surgical treatments such as bone grafting, soft tissue surgery, internal sinus lifting, and revolutionary full arch procedures (“Teeth In A Day”). Equally skilled in Orthodontics, utilizing Nuvola Aligners, he transforms smiles with precision and finesse, restoring both aesthetics and functionality for his patients.

Dr. Dewgun’s contributions extend beyond clinical excellence. He’s a respected luminary within the dental community, playing an active role in shaping industry reforms to enhance patient access and care. His influence is felt through mentorship, where he nurtures the next generation of dentists, providing guidance not just in clinical practice, but also in the art of forging a successful career path.

In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Dr. Dewgun has garnered accolades including a Community Award and Dental Implant award in 2013 and nominations for the Best Young Dentist Award in 2015 and 2018.

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Dewgun’s passion knows no bounds. An adventurer at heart, he embarks on outdoor escapades with his wife, children, and an eccentric German Shepherd. Yet, it’s his rhythmic prowess that truly captivates – as a talented percussionist of the Indian Dhol drum, he founded a music academy in 2007, nurturing 50 students who’ve showcased their talents at grand stages like HRH The King, Britain’s Got Talent, HMV Hammersmith Apollo, and the hallowed Lords Cricket ground. Dr. Dewgun’s performances, witnessed by thousands, stand as a testament to his boundless creativity and skill.

We are delighted to introduce Rebecca Smith to the Lion House Dental Practice team.

Rebecca has been an instant hit with our patients. Her calm and professional approach to dentistry provides our patients with the best dental care. She is looking forward to meeting her new patients!

Rebecca will be at the practice most of the week, but in her spare time she can be found road cycling or mountain biking around Oxfordshire (or reading a good book at home!)

Dr Baveeta Virdee brings a wealth of experience and skill to Lion House Dental Practice, having worked in different regions of the UK and consciously keeping up to date with the latest dental advances.

Baveeta passed her Membership of Faculty of Dental Surgeons exams and was elected as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh earlier this year. She is also excited to be completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry in London next year.

Baveeta enjoys all aspects of Dentistry and is particularly keen in helping her patients save their teeth and restoring confidence in their smiles. Baveeta is also certified in providing Nuvola aligners used to straighten teeth.

In addition to striving for clinical excellence, Baveeta is committed to making her patients feel comfortable using a variety of techniques. Baveeta’s calm, approachable nature notably puts her patients at ease, and she believes the patient experience is as important as the clinical result.

When not in the surgery you’ll find her exploring the local countryside in the Cotswolds. Baveeta adores nature and wildlife. She is also an avid gardener and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter.

Karan is a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Registrar in Oral Surgery, dedicated to providing the highest level of care to our patients. As a Specialty Registrar at the Birmingham Dental Hospital, Karan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Lion House Dental Practice.

After completing a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, with honours, from the University of Liverpool in 2017, Karan went on to complete three years of dental core training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Oral Surgery across various hospitals before securing a competitive training position at the Dental Hospital, where he has carried out multiple, complex dental extractions under Local anaesthetic, sedation and General Anaesthetic.

Karan is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest techniques in oral surgery, and regularly attends conferences and courses to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

With a compassionate and patient-centred approach, Karan works closely with each patient to manage any anxiety around dental extractions.

Shafeena qualified as a a Dental Surgeon in 2014, at the institute of Dental Sciences and Hospitals, India. Moving to the UK, Shafeena is registered with the GDC as a Dental Hygiene and Therapist, and completed an MSc in Global Health Care Management.

Shafeena particularly enjoys dealing with nervous patients, with her a calm and empathetic chair side manner.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and sightseeing.

Kris brings a great skill set to Lion House where we are proud to offer treatment of complex root canal treatment. No longer do we have to refer our patients away for treatment, it is all in-house!

Kris Graduated from Goa Dental College in 2002 with a bachelor of dental surgery and Masters of dental surgery in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. He has written many publications in international journals and is one of the inventors of a medicament for failed root canal treatments.

He loves treating challenging cases, especially teeth with a guarded prognosis. His warm, caring and professional nature makes the patient experience pleasant and calming. Kris welcomes referrals for: Opinion only, Primary root treatment, Re-treatment, Post removal, Retrieval of instrument

Dr Rob Endicott provides a roving dental sedation service. Until 2018 he was a general family and implant dentist in Stratford Upon Avon and retired to focus on helping patients get the treatment they need and overcome their fear of the dentist. Rob has carried out over 3000 IV sedation procedures, along with intranasal and oral sedation to help needle phobic patients.

Your dentist will be able to go through options with you and arrange a suitable time for you to have dental treatment carried out with Rob under sedation.

Sharan graduated in 2010, with honours, to become a Financial Mathematician.

Her analytical background was utilised by some of the top FTSE 500 companies, where she would assess business performance and benchmarking roles in line with the current market.

Once she was introduced to the dental world in 2017, acquiring Lion House Dental Practice, Sharan’s main priorities began by ensuring the practice remains compliant, quality assured, and is always performing at the highest standard, with positive patient experiences at the forefront of any decisions.

Sharan has since continued further study and trained to become a Registered Dental Professional, Level 5 Facial Aesthetics provider, and completed dental practice management advanced training.

In her spare time, she enjoys learning, spending time with her husband, 2 sons and Dog, seeking new exciting ventures.
